What a fantastic End of Season evening hosted at Buckingham Golf Club with over 60 in attendance.
The evening started with a buzz with drinks out on the balcony on a perfect sunny evening over looking the golf course, followed by a delicious 3 course meal and more drinks.

Club Chairman, Gordon Wiseman, started the speeches off with a sumup of the action packed season and thank you to committee, coaches and volunteers that have helped keep the club functioning over the season. He rounded off with a very worthy thank you to Chris Birch for coordinating this fabulous evening.
Next up was Ladies 1st XI coach Zak Jones with his famous ode to the team & special thank you to his right hand man Kevin Mayles & manager Kate Porter. The team have had a full season with outstanding performances in the second half.

Zaks ode is a hard act to follow but Men's 1st XI manager/captain, Jason Thelwell, did a superb job. Special thanks went to coach Bailey Dingley & past coach Ben Scott who helped behind the scenes. The team have had a fantastic season ending the league in 3rd place.

Overall Player of the year - Andy Pynegar.

Dominic Blackmore-Beales,our Junior Coordinator & Ladies 2nd XI coach was up next. He thanked the many volunteers that made the Juniors section a success this season with special thanks and gifts to umpires Mike Vince & Gordon Wiseman, Junior helpers -Nigel Cox, Ashley Sherwood & Jason Thelwell, Parent volunteer team managers, coaching assistants Megan Lewis-Williams & Bailey Dingley.
Special mention for coach Zoe James-Carter minis,Andy Pynegar u12s & Zak Jones u14s.
Ladies 2nd XI Emerging Talent award - Deborah James & Cassidy Jorritsma

This was followed by Men's 2nd XI representative, Chris Birch who thanked all those that had helped over the season with special mention for manager Paul Winks & captain Joe Jorritsma for all their efforts.

Overall Player of the Year - Andy Foreman
Young player of the Year - Sam Foreman
The team had an outstanding first season and Team League Promotion medals were awarded to all team members present.
To end off the awards a special award was presented to the Club Overall DOD of the season - Joe Jorritsma, for his fantastic aerial that had height, power, distance but greatly lacked direction, resulting in the sad fate of one Fiat 500 rear window!

The evening was far from over as the eagerly anticipated fundraiser raffle took place.Thank you to raffle prize donators:-Nigel Cox,Roy Carter

Laithwaites,Alex Naughalty,Kitty Higgins,Jason Thelwell,Trysports,Chris Birch-Chutney Enterprises,Ben Scott & Gordon Wiseman. The prizes were all well received.
This brought the formal end of the evening to a close with a disco and some enthusiastic dance moves to see the evening through to the early hours of the morning.

What a way to end our first full season back. Buckingham Club never fails to impress and the camaraderie amongst all members was tangible.

2- Ladies 1st XI in their Cup Final at Lee Valley Saturday 21st May
