Buckingham suffered their first loss of the season with a frustrating 2-1 result away from home last Saturday.
Buckingham started brightly and deservedly took the lead when Phoebe Richards opened the scoring in the tenth minute. However, despite having the better of the exchanges and creating a number of good scoring opportunities, they could not extend their lead any further in the first half.
The second half followed much the same pattern as the first, but the visitors still could not extend their lead with the homes sides defence remaining resolute. It was the home side that drew level when a defensive lapse allowed them to equalise in the 46th minute. Buckinghams frustrations began to show as they again failed to capitalise on any opportunities and as these frustrations grew, the side disappointingly, also lost their discipline which culminated in another defensive lapse allowing the home side to score the winner in the final minute.
It was a hugely frustrating loss but the side will regroup in the week before attempting to get back to winning ways when they host Exe at Stowe at 12pm on Saturday.
