Buckingham Ladies 2s completed an exceptional year away to Wycombe 2s on a very cold morning.
The match was delayed due to an icy pitch, but Buckingham got off to an explosive start driving forward for Fi Farley to score in the first minute. The pattern continued with Buckingham developing attack after attack resulting in Fi Farley achieving her hatrick in 13 minutes.
Not to be outdone on her debut day as captain (as Andrea Freshwater is off injured for a few weeks), Charlie Coumbe pushed forward from the back to score two goals from open play in 5 minutes and then topped her hatrick off with a perfect strike from the top of the D from a penalty corner. The half was completed by a lovely individual goal from teen star Kirsty Freshwater.
In the second half Buckingham were attacking the icy end of the pitch, which slowed their intensity, especially after a number of players fell hard onto the icy surface. With both teams determined to complete the match, Vikki Ross continued the scoring for Buckingham and Ella Cusack rounded off the match 0-9 with a great individual goal from midfield.
The captains commitment and enthusiasm was endless, resulting in a well deserved player of the match
