Buckingham started confidently with a couple of clear opportunities in the opening few minutes, but Aylesbury showed their speed and strength on the break. Buckingham continued to push forward but were kept on their toes by Aylesbury's numerous counter attacks, until the 20th minute where Aylesbury's speed of attack paid off. Buckingham then levelled it off before half-time with a goal from Andrea Freshwater.
Buckingham rallied at half-time and came out much stronger. A straight strike from Jaz Needham from a short corner was deflect in by Fi Farley. This was followed only 3 minutes later with her second goal in open play from Freshwater. The lead continued to increase when only 14 minutes into the second half Jaz Needham made it 1-4.
After an injury to Freshwater, Buckingham had to restructure and Aylesbury continued to attack. This effort paid off for Aylesbury with a second goal from a short corner. Buckingham still continued to challenge with Fi Farley scoring in the last two minutes to bring the final score to 5-2
