Some beautiful hockey from Buckingham saw them dominate the first half against West Hampstead 1s, resulting in Australian Izzy Peskett (Pesky) opening the scoring after 12 minutes, however Buckingham failed to convert any more of their many chances in the rest of the first half.
Immediately at the start of the second half, a great penetrating run from Pesky, saw Georgie Holme convert the pass to take the score to 2-0. Buckingham attacked again immediately after the restart and, after some messy defending, Andrea Freshwater pushed through to score their third.
West Hampstead pulled a goal back after they earned a penalty flick for hitting a Buckingham players foot on the line. Then 10 minutes later scored again from open play.
Meg Edwards score again for Buckingham off a short corner after 59 minutes leaving the final score 4-2 to Buckingham.
Next weeks will be a strong test for Buckingham 2s as they meet top of the table PHC Chiswick
