Set to be one of the hardest matches of the season, the contest between Buckingham 2s and league leaders Chiswick started at a determined pace.
Chiswick were awarded a short corner after only two minutes of play which they neatly converted.
Buckingham then retaliated with an astonishing run by Aussie Izzy Peskett who beat the keeper from a tight angle after running two-thirds of the length of the pitch
The next 60 minutes saw a thrilling match of end-to-end play and superb hockey by both sides, where either team could have scored. In the last minute Buckingham were awarded a short corner and after good defending by Chiswick, Charlotte Oswald drove a shot from the edge of the D which was deflected by a defender into the back of the net. This was an amazing team effort of high intensity and determination which resulted in a final score of 2-1 to Buckingham. Buckingham now sit joint second in South League 3A.
