Buckingham travelled to London on Saturday in their league match against West Hampstead and continued their winning ways. Buckingham started really well playing some excellent attacking play which was rewarded with a goal after 4 minutes when Andrea Freshwater finished from close range. Buckingham continued applying the pressure with two more quick goals both scored by inform forward Tash James within 15 minutes. Buckingham could not increase their lead before half time and found it hard to break through the West Hampstead defence in the second half. Amy Cairns made a couple of great saves in goal with good defensive work from Sophie Tuckett, Liz Flack & Mel Tuckett. Buckingham kept going through difficult umpiring and were awarded when Megan Edwards cracking shot thundered into the Hampstead goal on the 61 minute.
Buckingham now have a week off before they travel to Chiswick for another tough game on Saturday 27th February.
