The Buckingham young side were no match against a strong Banbury 1st Xl
The defence had to work hard to keep Banbury at bay, but constant pressure led to Banbury's first goal after only 3 minutes.Buckingham conceded a number of penality corners .which the home team defended well, with Becks Ball outstanding in the Buckingham goal.
Despite constant pressure Banbury were only 2 ahead at half time.
Immediately after the interval the visitors netted twice in quick succession but this did not deter the home team's efforts, who tired to maintain composure as Banbury played some good attacking hockey.
Millie Wemyss scored Buckingham's only goal after 23 minutes into the second half with a good clean stike.
All the girls gave a 100%
Captain Katie Mack was voted most valuable player of the match for her tireless performance in midfield.
