Banbury 3's V Buckingham 3's

Another match in Div 2 and 4 more players make their debut for the 3's,Welcome to the 3's to Liz , Imogen , Lauren and Georgie.

The game began with positive play from Buckingham who pressed the Banbury circle but were unable to make the clinical pass to find the back of the Banbury net. As we push forward Banbury made 2 quick breaks and Buckingham found themselves 2 goals down.
Still working hard and pushing forward a long shot into the D from Emily Fellingham resulted in a fortunate deflected goal . This gave Buckingham the lift that they needed and Helen Holme equalised with a determined shot into the corner of the goal after a flowing move from the back.
The second half started again with Buckingham playing positively and this was rewarded when Buckingham took the lead with a goal from Rotimi Joseph. the second half saw the game flow from end to end and Buckingham should have scored again after some flying runs down the right wing from Amelia Hollingworth.
However Buckingham failed to hang on to their lead and Banbury showed real determination to win the game and scored 2 more goals in the last 10 minutes of the game. Although Buckingham pressed for an equaliser they were unable to get past a resolute Banbury defence.
All debutants played really well in a game 4 leagues higher than normal and Banbury were very complimentary about the skill and speed shown by you all.
Another game lost but lots of positives to work with in training and in our next match.
