Wokingham v Buckingham

Buckingham 3s travelled to Wokingham to play a team at the lower end of our league. A positive start with a dazzling run down the right from Amelia Hollingworth promised much. Buckingham pressure was rewarded in the first 5 minutes with an excellent cross from Nikki Greaves being slotted home on the back post by Helen Holme. Wokingham however still played on and put some pressure on the Buckingham defence.
Buckingham superiority of play resulted in Millie Holme scoring a well organised penalty corner with a bullet shot from the top if the circle. Buckingham's play was not as clinical as in the previous game and this gave Wokingham confidence that they were still in the game. Buckinghams 2 goal advantage stood at half time.
Buckingham were determined in the second half that they would not let their advantage slip and better play enabled Georgie Chapman to score a goal that her consistent hard work deserved. Buckingham scored their fourth goal from an attack set up form Karen Wildman ,who delivered a quick pass to Amelia Hollingworth to speed down the right wing with Emily Fellingham on the far post to slot the ball home. Continued pressure failed to result in more goals for Buckingham who maintained their unbeaten run in 2016!
