Buckingham 3 v Henley 3

Buckingham took a little time to settle in an early match at Henley. Henley took the lead following a short corner awarded to Henley after their first attack. This gave the home team confidence and they upped their work rate and prevented Buckingham from playing the quality game that had been present in 2016. Buckingham however kept working hard and equaled the score after a strong run from Millie Holme lead to a close range shot from Lydia Kennedy. This led to more attacks from Buckingham , most notable from Charlotte Robertson whose solo run through the Henley defence led to the ball just missing the left hand post.
A firm half time team talk led Buckingham to play the second half with more control and composure .Width, height and a determination to always come away with the ball , enabled Buckingham score 4 more goals. Goals came from Amelia Hollingworth , Charlotte Robertson , Emily Fellingham and Bella Festa.
Buckingham's second half performance showed the league difference between the 2 teams and we look forward to our remaining 2 games of the season.
Man of the Match was a share between Bella Festa , Karen Wildman and Millie Holme
