The U16's enjoyed a fast paced game in the last match of the season. They played Tring who were in the lead at 1/2 time with a goal after 19 minutes. Much of the play had been in their half but they got through our defence and scored.
The girls rallied in the second half and started to play much more as a team which resulted in several quick goals from Emily Prothero (x2) and Lauren Rawlings(x2). Tilly Flynn sneaked a last minute goal after a short corner in the last minute of the game.
Charlotte Robertson was extremely dangerous to Tring in the mid field, which won her Players Player of the match.
Antoinette Marchant was also very reliable as a screen and in defence and was awarded Coaches Player.
I hope the girls enjoyed the last match and I wish all those moving up the best of luck and look forward to seeing everyone else in September 2015.
As always a massive thank you to the parents and relations who bring the girls along, and finally to the girls for turning up and for tolerating myself and Ian at this match as Liz was away. I know we were shouting rather loudly at times(especially me!)
Have a lovely break and see you in September.
