1-5 Defeat after challenging match

We had a very challenging match against Witney 3rds, with several of the more experienced members of our squad unable to play, and we eventually lost 5-1. The Witney side were all somewhat older than our younger players, and faster than our older ones (and they all seemed to have much longer legs!) We held our own very well in the first half, and Tash scored a lovely goal from a break-away. However the relentless pressure told in the 2nd half as several more goals went in against us without us being able to shake off their defence to find a reply. Daisy was kept very busy in goal with her kicking skills helping prevent us going down to a heavier defeat and earning her Player of the Match by a clear vote.
