After having played only 2 games this season the 4s made up for lost time with a solid 5-1 win against Aylesbury 4s

Aylesbury started strongly and put the Buckingham defence under early pressure. However the girls held Aylesbury at bay and after the first few minutes the tide of play turned in Buckingham's favour. In the eigth minute, having broken into the left of the Aylesbury D Katie McKenna took 2 shots on goal to have them deflected back by the keeper. Undaunted Katie slipped the ball to the right post where Emily Krelle netted the ball for Buckingham's first goal.

Buckingham were now having the majority of the possession and ten minutes later Charlotte Yates' fast pace took her down the left wing and past the Aylesbury defence for a clinical finish and made the score 2-0. After 28 minutes Emma Marshall scored from the right of the D for a pleasing 3-0 lead at half time.

After the restart Buckingham remained in control with the defence snuffing out every attempt by Aylesbury to get back in the game. Captain Ness Honour took 2 quick free hits moving up from the back only to go down with a raised ball in the face. Ness left the field but gamely returned later. The 4s kept their composure and centre mid Gemma Blane beat the Aylesbury defence and the keeper for our 4th goal ten minutes into the half.

Buckingham stayed firmly in control of the game, and confirmed their dominance when they converted a PC, injector Riley Maze-Brown moving smartly to the post and slotting home a loose ball for 5-0. Aylesbury managed a late consolation goal to make the score 5-1 at the final whistle.

Due to the soaking rain the team quickly dispersed before selecting man of the match leaving it as the coach's decision to award it to Gemma Blane for consistent work securing the mid field.
