The Buccaneers also enjoyed a fantastic outing in Division 3. The defence was outstanding throughout with Jesse McCallum, Bertie Rapp and Thomas Emerson making sure nobody got past them and distributing the ball accurately. The midfield of William Round and Luke Mayo also played well, working hard and showing good skills on the ball and up front Joe Burgess and Charlie Barker linked well and scored some great goals. In their first game, the boys dominates but the Aylesbury goalkeeper made some fine stops. Charlie Baker scoring the vital goal to seal a 1-0 win. In the second match, playing unselfishly, the boys created space well to run out 4-0 winners against Berkshire & Hemel with two goals from Joe Burgess and one apiece from Luke Mayo and Charlie Baker. Their final match was a tough and close encounter against Southgate. However, once again, the Buccaneers came out on top with a narrow 2-1 victory, thanks to goals from Joe Burgess and Luke Mayo.
All the matches were played in a good spirit and the boys achieved their objectives of ball retention, accurate passing and spreading the game wide. Well done to all the boys for their excellent teamwork, great hockey and winning attitudes.
