There is a real sense of excitement around Buckingham Hockey Club as our teams prepare for what promises to be another competitive and memorable season. Following a hugely successful 2025/26 campaign, several of our sides step into the new season with promotions behind them, new challenges ahead and plenty to look forward to.

Our Ladies 1st XI will have to wait a little longer before getting their campaign underway. Their first fixture comes on Saturday 26th September, when they travel to Loughborough to face a strong university side. It will be a particularly special occasion as the team returns to the Premier League after a two-year absence. A fantastic achievement, and the start of an exciting new chapter for the squad.

The Men’s 1st XI begin life after promotion with a home fixture against Milton Keynes, giving supporters the perfect opportunity to get behind the team from the very start of the season.

Our Men’s 2nd XI also head into the new campaign on the back of promotion last season. Their first test comes away from home as they travel to Abingdon, looking to carry last season’s momentum into their new division.

The Ladies 2nd XI begin their season away at Wallingford after securing their place in Division 1 last season, while the Ladies 3rd XI are first into action this weekend, beginning their campaign against Wychwood on Saturday 12th September.

There is plenty to be excited about across the club. Promotions, Premier League hockey, new opponents and another full season of competitive action lie ahead.

Buckingham Hockey Club is ready for 2026/27, and we cannot wait to get started.
