U16 vs Lichfield

Our third and final match was against Lichfield.
Everyone was determined that we wouldn't come away with another defeat as the girls had played so well in the previous matches but no win!
The first half saw the ball go from end to end but no team could find that elusive break through.
Then after 23 minutes Buckingham were awarded a penalty which was taken decisively by Bella Festa. This must have ignited a spark as Bella then scored after 27 and 39 minutes.
Lichfield were always battling but we managed to hold on to our lead.

As always a massive thank you to all our supporters and helpers from umpires, parents and coaches and especially to Izzy Daymond who came and served the refreshments with Bev Rawlings and Nicola Festa during the tournament. Also thank you to all the parents who donated cakes etc

Players Player went to Bella Festa and Coaches Player to Georgie Chapman who proved herself once again to be so valuable in defence and a dependable captain in two of the matches.

An excellent end to the tournament, well done U16's!
