Buckingham resolute to the whistle

The team played well from the whistle and had more than their share of possession in the first half but without a goalie it was always gong to be tricky at the back and it wasn’t long before Wallingford scored and we went into half time 0-1 down. We were delighted to have Katrina Nicholson from the 1st team pitch-side and her coaching and half time talk gave the team new tactics with which to hold off the opposition. However, Wallingford came out more convincingly in the second half and scored again. Buckingham battled on and eventually saw some reward for their efforts with a goal scored by Isabelle Clamp. Our team held their resolve but the final whistle blew before we could equalise.

MOM honours were spread between Frankie and Charlotte and doughty defenders Rotimi, Millie and Karen.
