On Sunday, Buckingham Boys U14 began their league campaign with a short away trip to Bicester.
Still buzzing from their cup match victory the week before, Buckingham began brightly and were 2-0 inside the opening eight minutes with goals from Josh Hinde-Smith and Sam Forman on debut. Forman claimed his second mid way through the half and Quinlan Graham made it 4-0 just before the break to seal a positive opening period.
The second half followed much the same pattern as the first, with Buckingham dominating possession and territory but Bicester defending well and remaining a threat on the break. A flowing passing move after just two minutes saw Forman claim his hattrick and he got his fourth not long afterwards to make the score 6-0. Buckingham continued to create numerous opportunities but they found the home keeper in inspired form but two well worked, late goals from Trystan Jones and Hinde-Smith made the final score 8-0.
It was another fine team performance with a number of other players including, William Morris, Bertie Rapp, Thomas Emerson and U12 goal keeper Federico Jefferson making their U14 debuts.
