With a couple of older players unavailable, Buckingham made the short trip to Milton Keynes for their next league fixture.
Once there, the boys continued their fine run of form. They started really well, immediately putting their hosts under pressure and it was not long before they opened the scoring. Trystan Jones flicking home with his reverse to make the score 1-0 after just three minutes. Continuing to have the lions share of the play, Buckingham scored at regular intervals during the first half. Jones grabbed his second before a superb run and finish from Sam Forman made it 3-0. Josh Hinde-Smith made it 4-0 from a penalty corner rebound before MK pulled one back from a their own penalty corner. However, a well worked penalty corner move a minute later restored Buckinghams four goal advantage when Zeb Hodgeson fired home.
Buckingham extended their lead further five minutes into the second period when Jones smashed home a fierce reverse stick shot for his hat trick after some fine team play. Captain Quin Graham finished off another penalty corner move to make the score 7-1 before the home side neatly finished a quick counter attack to make the score 7-2 with just under ten minutes remaining. However, Buckingham weren't quite finished yet, Forman getting his second after another fine passing move, to make the final score 8-2. It had been another impressive, all around team performance that included some fine attacking hockey as well as good intensity and desire to want to work for the team on defence.
