'Twas the week before christmas and with not much to do,
a trip down to Tring for Buckingham 2s.
The chance to go top at the mid season break,
the squad knew there was so much at stake.
Missing some players with sickness and bugs,
the team wanted to finish with kisses and hugs.
Both sides started well trying to move the ball at pace
but it was Tring that scored first finding a player in space.
Not giving up and refusing to falter
Bucks soon equalised through young Freddie Walker.
A tough first half for the Buckingham team
but everyone was ready, feeling extra mean.
A quick counter from the Tring attack,
saw them find a free player to grab another goal back.
Bucks moved the ball and the pressure started to mount,
they were sure Tring would soon be out for the count.
Bucks kept it up and didn't let Tring settle,
when the ball fell to Harding to draw the scores level.
Some great work from Beesley in the opposition D
found Harding again to make it 3.
With the clock ticking down Bucks refused to cave,
and MOTM Longman making save after save.
With moments left and the game almost won,
Bucks made it four through Zeb Hodgson.
At the midseason break and the league nice and tight
time to wish you a Merry Xmas and to all a good night.
